| Fishing Overview: |
Fish are feeding on small nymphs and terrestrials (ants, beetles, crickets) I love fishing dry flies, but in this heat the fish on Valley just don't look up too well. Your best chance at finding rising fish is early in the morning, when temperatures are at their coolest. Oportunistic feeders will however take a well placed terrestrial pattern. Keep em' tight to the bank or under low hanging branches!

| Specifics and Tips: |
Small flies are the ticket. At this time of year we are not seeing much aquatic insect life on Valley. Small nymphs and surface patters (when appropriate) will be your best chance at success. Midge pupa fished under an indicator or dropped off a dry fly have been productive.
|
| Hatches: |
Midges, Caddis should be the extent of it. Terrestrials, although not a hatch, will work.
|
