Fishing Overview: Water temps have improved (but still not nescessarily fishable) with recent rain and some cooler nights, but please leave Penns alone right now. Penns' wild fish have gone through HELL this summer!!! If current trends continue, Penns should return to fishable conditions in September. PLEASE give these fish a couple more weeks of rest to recover from one of the worst summers in the last decade. All of our fishing will be better this fall/winter and next year if Penns' anglers show some restraint right now.

Store Events: GUIDED 3 HOUR SPRING CREEK SUMMER TRICO TRIP PRICES (ONE OR TWO ANGLERS)
Once again, TCO State College is excited to offer our very popular Summer Trico Trips. Last year, our Trico Trips were conducted in 2 hours sessions. But because of angler demand and the opportunity for great fishing, we’ve expanded our trips to 3 hours this season. Any fly angler who appreciates fly fishing history or dry fly fishing with small flies and light tippets will love these trips!
Guide Rates: Public Water $200.00 | Private Water $300.00
*Drinks are included but flies and terminal tackle are not.

Conservation Note: ANGLERS VISITING OUR AREA: Specifically those of you who just fished the Delaware River (or other streams in the NY Catskill Region) or Maryland's Gunpowder River, Please clean your boots and waders with a diluted bleach solution OR hot water(must be over 140 degrees f) and laundry detergent - It must soak for at least 30 minutes to be effective. DIDYMO has been identified in these watersheds. Another option is to purchase a second pair of boots and waders to wear only in infected waters. It's the only sure way not to spread DIDYMO. Please be responsible - Don't spread DIDYMO TO Central Pennsylvania!

Click here to learn more about DIDYMO. This is a real threat to all of us!

General: NOW IS THE TIME OF YEAR TO CARRY A THERMOMETER WHEN FISHING PENNS. NO CATCH AND RELEASE FLY FISHERMAN SHOULD FISH THE STREAM WHEN WATER TEMPS EXCEED 70 DEGREES!!!
Check out our Fly Tying and Fly Fishing Educational Programs - Fly Tying Classes or Fly Fishing Schools.

Be sure to stop in the store next time you visit the area... we will be happy to share our favorite fly patterns with you.
