Stream: Letort Spring Run

Date of Update: 7/4/2022

Author: TCO Boiling Springs Staff

Highlight: Look for terrestrials as well as caddis. Good action is available if you are stealthy. Keep a low profile and stay on the bank whenever possible. Cover water thoroughly and take your time.

Stream Level: steady

Water Temp: 55 degrees

Clarity: clear

Fishing Overview: Caddis are evident and terrestrials are becoming more important. Warm temps are with us for the foreseeable future. With high sun and hot temps, fish will be found in the cover of cress beds and beneath cut banks. Springs creeks will be getting more pressure as water temps hit critical levels on our freestone streams.

Specifics and Tips: Cressbugs between the cress beds and mayfly emergers are working well. Black ants near the bank can trigger strikes.

Hatches: Sow Bugs sz. 12-20
Caddis sz. 16-18
Ants sz. 12-16

Hot Patterns: TCO Cress Bugs - sz. 14-18
Pheasant Tail - sz. 16-20
Near Nuff Sculpin - sz. 6-8
