Guide
Services - Maximize your Experience |
|
 |
| The selection of a guide
is as important to the success of your trip
as the selection of your gear. So where
and when do you start? We suggest you start
right now! With a few clicks you can explore
the great fishing we have to offer. If you're
travelling, let us help you find the right
destination, guides and help you with your
preparation. We've travelled all over the
world and we have the contacts and experience
that can make the difference in the success
of your trip. There are a number of key
points that we can help you with including:
|
|
 |
| 1. FINDING FRIENDLY
AND HELPFUL GUIDES. There are many lodges
and guides with appropriate skills, however
not everyone treats clients the same. Locally,
you can count on this with TCO; If your
traveling, we can help make sure you get
that same great service. |
|
| 2. FIT YOUR SKILL LEVEL.
Some rivers or destinations can be difficult
to fish. Also, some guides are very good
with beginners, some are not. We'll help
make sure you know what you're getting into.
Locally, let us know (honestly) your skill
level and we'll make sure we match both
the guide and the stretch of river to your
skill level to maximize your time. |
|
| 3. UNDERSTAND THE COST.
There are as many different approaches and
local customs as there are destinations.
Do they have rental gear? Does it include
beverages & lunch or do you have to
bring your own? How about Flies? And gratuity?
Transportation? We'll work with you to make
sure you understand what you're getting
into with destination travel. |
|
| 4.KNOW WHEN TO GO. Fishing
is more challenging at different times of
year. We can make sure the sales person
at the location doesn't oversell the destination
to fill the dead times in their calendar.
We also help with understanding tides, moon
phases and more. |
|
| 5. GET IN TOUCH WITH
A TCO GUIDE. Our guides will be in touch
with you before the trip. It is a great
time to ask questions about gear, schedules,
what their ideas are for your day on the
water. It gives you a feel for one another
and often adds to the quality of the trip.
|
|
| 6. TAKE THE RIGHT GEAR.
We have a gear list available for each destination
we service. You can always assume you know
what you’ll need. A fishing trip budget
can been blown buying inadequate duplicates
of the stuff you didn’t bring. |
|
|
7. PLAN AND PREPARE. Take time to plan
your trip and plan ahead of time. Use
a professional to assist with the plan
to ensure you get the most out of your
trip and investment. Use TCO's team and
resources to make sure every detail is
covered.
