Greg Hoover, a Penn State Entomology Professor who also teaches the Penn State Fly Fishing Class, offers an excellent combination of Entomology and Fly Tying. Many classes combine on-stream observation and class room instruction. A TCO exclusive!

Entomology 101
Greg Hoover, offers a primer on Trout Stream Entomology and it's application to Fly Tying. These classes are a great way to get started and focus on real world application. This class combines images, insect samples and tying in a classroom environment.

OnStream Identification
Greg Hoover takes us to the stream to review Entomology and it's application to Fly Tying. These classes include both classroom and streamside observation. Particular focus is given to techniques you can use to select the right fly pattern through better observation.

Fly Tying to match the natural
Greg Hoover and Paul Weamer team up to demonstrate how to tie both realistic and impressionistic flys to match the naturals. These classes uses images and samples combined with fly tying techniques to take matching the hatch to the next level. This educational series is designed for intermediate to advanced fly tyers.
