After 47 years of flyfishing
in New York, Pennsylvania, Montana, Utah,
Idaho, Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Australia
and Europe, and saltwater flyfishing from
Maine to Florida, John has caught fish
of trophy proportions ranging from Tarpon,
Permit and Baracuda to Brown, Rainbow
and Brook Trout.
And after all of that…John has not
lost his enthusiasm for introducing beginners
to the sport he loves. His gentle manner
and effective teaching skills make him
one of our favorite guides. Experienced
anglers also enjoy fishing with John and
enjoy picking his angling brain for some
secrets that the West Branch of the Ausable
keeps so well.
There’s nobody that fishes the silky
dry fly water any better than John. The
master of the little caddis, John quickly
has clients presenting their caddis patterns
exactly the way these wily trout like
them. Always the gentleman, John’s
enthusiasm and passion for the West Branch
of the Ausable ensure a memorable Adirondack
fly fishing adventure for his clients.
