Gavin has been fly fishing, almost daily, for over 10 years pursuing anything that swims from shad to stripers, bluegills to carp. Gavin's real passion lies in chasing trout year round on our local streams. He's been fishing the Tully year round for years and knows just about every rock, pocket, pool and (most importantly) where every fish is throughout the stream.

Gavin is an excellent fly tyer and enjoy tying flies as much as the fishing itself. He loves finding new water, tying piles of flies and slowly solving the puzzle for each new fish. Gavin key part of our guide, fly fishing and fly tying instructional team. He's also responsible for the Fly of the Month program in the stores and on the website.

Gavin is also an incredible craftsman, from fly tying furniture to rod building his work is art. He's also learned the the art of building bamboo rods and has turned out some of the finest bamboo rods we've seen.

His almost fanatical love for the sport and the outdoors shows in everything he does in the store, in the classroom and on the water. We are happy to have Gavin as a part of the of our education and guide team in Reading.
